
Reimagining Church: The Increase Church Brand Development
The Increase Church was founded in 2006 to influence people by teaching them how they can experience growth in their lives mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and by guiding them to become leaders to affect others in their community. The church approached C7 Caribbean for help to develop their brand and digital presence. Always ready to serve our diverse mix of Caribbean culture, C7 Caribbean has had experience developing brands operating in several sectors including N.G.Os and Faith-based organizations. The Increase Church was no different and our design team was excited to begin working with them to develop their brand.
Getting to know the church beginning with its leadership, we realized that the church’s culture and its membership were redefining what traditional church, looked, sounded and felt like. To get a better idea of this, our team immersed ourselves into the culture of The Increase Church. To build or develop an organization’s brand, C7 takes the time to ask questions, understand its goals and objectives and even talk to both the people representing the brand and the people impacted by it. So…Our team went to church. We listened to their values and principles, took and in-depth look into their vision and mission statements and spoke to the members.

Building a Foundation
After delving into the church’s culture, we began building a foundation of strategy and a client profile that helped us to determine the brand guideline. This would help the church to communicate who they are and define them using components such as typography and imagery etc. Our agency uses the brand guideline and collaborates with our clients to determine their brand direction.

The Blueprint for Visual Direction
The Increase Church’s brand guideline served as a blueprint for both the organization and our team to develop a visual direction that represented the churches values but resonated with its mostly millennial membership. We were able to wholistically develop the image of the church by ensuring the brand’s values were communicated across all digital mediums like videos, their websites and social media.

The Church that’s Redefining Church
Today the Increase Church has a clearly defined brand architecture, they know their brand personality, brand voice, key messaging and they have the visuals that represent them well across all mediums. The church can attest the fact that branding is more than their logo but a clear blueprint into the discovery of who they are; a church redefining what church looks, sounds and feels like.
